Deals, Promotions and Discount Codes
Cyber Monday is all about the deals!
Even if you’re not a business that typically discounts your products, you have to offer some kind of awesome deal—even if it’s just for a few hours. Here are a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing:
1. Buy More, Save More
Focus on getting more cases out the door by encouraging your customers to buy cases at a time, instead of bottles. Try offering a dollar or percentage discount when they buy 2 or more cases of wine, and then increase that savings when they buy 4 or more cases.
2. Flat-Rate or Percentage Discounts
One of the easiest ways to get the most out of Cyber Monday is to offer a simple discount. You can offer 30% off site-wide, buy 1, get 1 50% off, or offer a top-selling vintage at a reduced price (for a limited time only, of course!)
3. Join & Save
We all know memberships is where it’s at, so make your club a focus for Cyber Monday. Offer a promo code discount to everyone who joins your wine club on Cyber Monday. You can promote your wine club, and then send out a promo code via email when they sign up. This one’s a little trickier to set up, but don’t worry—we’re here to help!
4. Wine Club Memberships As a Gift
Speaking of memberships, why not make it even easier to grow your club by encouraging your customers to give a membership as a gift? Incentivize them by offering 25% off a second membership, or give them a free bottle of wine when they gift a membership.
5. Holiday Edition Cases
Also, offering a perfect mixed case for the holidays (a couple bottles of white for tree trimming, a few easy reds for Christmas eve, maybe a nice red for Christmas dinner, a couple of sparkling for New Year’s Eve) makes it easy for customers to get ready for the holidays without having to stress over what type of wine to buy, and makes it super easy for you to sell wine by the case-load! Feature this special case prominently on your website, and be sure to promote the heck out of it.
These are just some ideas to help get you going, but it’s important to be smart about your promotions. You want to offer something attractive enough to see a significant boost in sales, but you don’t want to give away the farm or go “off brand” for your business.
